Visite en Aout 2010

Welcome everybody,

I hope you had a good trip from Balrothery, and between Nantes and Landéan. The twinning comitte is really glad to see you again. Most of us saw you two years ago, when we went to Balrothery. During our stay, we asked you to change the rythm and the date of our annual exchanges due to a very important event in Landéan, that we wanted to share with you : « le Comice Agricole » and « la fête des fleurs ».

We celebrate this year our fifteenth anniversary, and I know it should happen in Balrothery. I understand how difficult it was to change. I hope your stay will be allright.

Every inhabitant worked hard to organize this week-end and we are very proud that so many people of you disrupted their holiday to be here today.

You'll begin your stay with a visit of the great botanical garden of the « château de la Foltière » at Le Chatellier. Host families that could not be here at midday will meet you this evening. After a first meal with you, we 'll be together at the pub tonight.

The following will be at the rythm of the town : tomorrow « le comice agricole » and sunday « la fête des fleurs ». You'll discover all the float built by Landean inhabitants, and specially the float about Ireland, that was made in my area.

On Monday, we'll show you breton dances that we trained to perform for you. We'll share our last meal together on monday evening and celebrate officially the anniversary of our common history.

J'espère que vous avez fait un bon voyage depuis Balrothery, et entre nantes et Landéan.

Le comité de jumelage est très heureux de vous revoir. La plupart d'entre nous vous avait vu il y a déjà deux ans, quand nous sommes allés à Balrothery. Pendant notre séjour, nous vous avions demandé de modifier le rythme et la date de nos échanges annuels, en raison d'un événement important à Landéan, que nous souhaition partager avec vous : le comice agricole et la fête des fleurs.

Nous célébrons cette année notre quinzième anniversaire, et je sais qu'il aurait dû avoir lieu à Balrothery. Je réalise le sacrifice que vous accepté de faire, et espère que votre séjour sera agréable.

Tous les habitants ont travaillé dur pour organiser ce week-end, et nous sommes très fiers que tant d'entre vous aient perturbé l'organisation de ses congés pour être ici aujourd'hui.

Vous débuterez votre séjour par la visite du jardin botanique du château de la Foltière à Le Chatellier. Les familles d'accueil, qui ne pouvaient être présentes ce midi, vous rencontrerons ce soir. Après un premier repas avec vous, nous nous réunirons pour une soirée pub.

La suite sera au rythme de la commune : demain le comice agricole, et dimanche la fête des fleurs. Vous découvrirez tous les chars construits par les habitants de Landéan, et particulièrement celui de mon quartier sur le thème de l'Irlande.

Lundi, nous vous ferons une démonstration de danse bretonne que nous nous sommes entrainés à vous présenter. Nous partagerons un repas commun lundi soir et celebrerons officiellement notre histoire commune.
