YEAR 2010

The visit of the Irish group from Balrothery : from 20th August till 24th August.
This year, we will welcome our Irish friends from Balrothery with the theme of an agricultural show followed by the “Fête des fleurs” on August 21st and 22nd . It is important for our village to share both exceptional events with our Balrothery friends.
In addition, the exchange will be the occasion to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the twinning between our two villages.
The Twinning Committee of Landéan invites not only its members but also all the inhabitants of Landéan to share the traditional farewell dinner with the Irish group on Monday 23rd August, 2010 – 20 h – at “la salle Mélusine”. 1 – Annual General Meeting : Friday 5th February, 2010

             After the Annual General Meeting, every member of the administration council was reelected. The council has increased by the election of two new members : Marjorie Esnault and Laëtitia Simon.

2 – Irish market : Sunday 14th March, 2010

             The Twinning Committee wish to thank warmly the Landéan shopkeepers for their involvement in the Irish week that took place from March 8th till March 13th. The Irish week ended with the traditional Irish market where the many visitors enjoyed the music of Zic Plein D’Airs, the dances led by Sylvie Balluais, the pub with its Irish coffee, homemade scones and the shopping area. All these epitomised  the spirit of Ireland…
